Though I'm an atheist, I feel what you feel. I think that Jesus was possibly a crazed but well meaning and intelligent radical, and the Romans had him killed, but realized he was well loved and possibly hijacked everything he stood for for their own ends.

Jesus was a nice guy and all.... but there were plenty of “messiahs” walking around at the time. Life on earth is certainly a miracle, and at the same time, given how big the universe is, rare things do happen. At the end of the day we simply don’t have enough evidence to conclude that there is or isn’t a supreme being or beings. But we can say for sure that anyone that claims to know the story of what exactly happened is out of their mind. And if there is a God, it doesn’t appear that he cares about us on an individual level... I’ve had fish... you get bored eventually. He probably has a new pet somewhere else in the universe.
