Jokes have been written about Katrina, Iraq, etc where there has been loss of life. Just becasue we joke about the swine flu doesn't mean we are indifferent to the victims.

I am more concerned that this was too easy for Gary. Of stuff we make fun off, Gary this falls well in to the category of appropriate. Feeling quite bad that "doesnt matter" is so consumed that one would wish harm.

I find this joke funny, The point about a joke is that it is a the expense of some unfortunate person So what if it offends some. Religion is a big joke and that goes on and on I have to tolerate that. Sad as it may be

I think what's happening here is people who are concerned about swine flu are googling "swine flu cure" and getting this joke instead.. haha.. I could see why they're upset! But the joke is still funny :-)
