Senator Majority leader Harry Reid was asked if he felt there was an urgency to pass the Senate's proposed health care reform bill.  To which Reid replied, "Like my friend Ted Kennedy would have said, we'll drive off that bridge when we come to it." 

If health care does pass, the good news for Rush is oxycontin is much cheaper in Canada.

Britons trying to cheer up their hospitalized friends and relatives often have to do so standing up; sitting on the bed usually isn't allowed.  In a commentary published Wednesday in the British medical journal BMJ, Dr. Iona Heath argues the recommendation is unjustified and denies patients the chance to be close to their loved ones.  British authorities claim the ban on sitting is needed to prevent patients from getting infected by visitors and health care staff.  ***MARLAR: You can stick your fingers inside a patient during a checkup or surgery, but don’t sit next to them on their bed because that could be dangerous!

Barack Obama followed through on his hockey bet with Canada, sending a case of beer to the prime minister.  Let's see,  first participants in the beer summit got a glass of beer.  Now the Canadian prime minister gets a case of beer.  I guess fence-sitting Democrats who vote for health care will get their own brewery. 

It is rumored that the current health care proposal being pushed by the administration may be denied for being a pre-existing condition.
