A teenage girl is suing her school after she was forced to play football in gym class. The Detroit Lions have already offered the girl a three year deal.

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb said he didn't know a game could end in a tie.  He thought the term "sudden death" meant getting traded to Detroit.

Detroit could be in danger of losing the Lions. Which is fine because Detroit is used to danger. And losing.
 

The plan would bail out GM, Ford, Chrysler, and the Lions. 

Michigan lost eight games in a season for the first time in its history.  The governor commemorated the occasion by making the team honorary Detroit Lions.  

During a broadcast of a national football game, Phil Sims looked at the camera and called Detroit a disaster. He also had some negative things to say about the Lions.
 

The Detroit Lions signed retired quarterback Daunte Culpepper. As if the Lions need any more help quitting.

This Sunday, former football player turned analyst, Phil Simms officially called Detroit a disaster.

He didn't specify whether he meant the Lion's or the city itself. 

Now that Barack Obama has become the first African American president in U.S. history, we're just years away from having a white guy on the Detroit Pistons.

Daunte Culpepper may start for the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He'll have to quickly learn both of their plays: getting sacked and getting intercepted.
