Majority Leader Harry Reid is considering a plan for higher payroll taxes on upper-income earners to help finance health care legislation.   So apparently, health care willl be paid for by the New York Yankees. 

The New York Yankees won the World Series after a 8-year World Series drought, despite having the biggest payroll of any MLB team.

To improve on their already heavy hitting roster (hadn't the Yankee's won), owner George Steinbrenner (accurately portrayed in tv's Seinfeld as a greedy, insane person), was ready to buy the high-scoring 1954 National League All-Star Team.

New York office workers reportedly tossed important files and documents out windows during the Yankees victory parade. It's a marked improvement from earlier this year when they were tossing out themselves.

 New York City will celebrate the Yankees' 27th World Series title with a celebration parade today.  Parade confetti will consist of ticker tape, newspaper, and shredded Mets' season tickets.  

The New York Mets will be participating in the Yankees Word Series parade.They will be removing trash from the streets,for their only sweep of the season. 

Philadelphia Phillie Jimmy Rollins still maintains that his team is better than the Yankees, moments following their Game Six loss to their World Series opponent last night.

The only other notable thing said by Rollins during the press conference was, "Yes, I do vote Republican. Why do you ask?" 

The New York Yankees won their 27th World Series title. It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of free agents.

Major League Baseball is upset with the excessive number of mound huddles used by the Yankees during the World Series. Turns out they are just stopping periodically to count their money.
 

Yeah as y'all know, the World Series gets underway tomorrow night.  And the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies are two teams that are similar in a lot of ways, really they are.  They do have one HUGE, CONTROVERSIAL, AND DISGUSTING thing separating them, though.  It's called NEW JERSEY.
