Ancient Al tells me that, during the Great Depression, some folks roamed local parks hunting small animals.  Apparently, hunger inspired unusual, desperate behavior.

   "It was a time of reversal," Al observes.  "The park became a place where pigeons and squirrels fed people." 

On The Larry King Show, Mariah Carey told him that she drank what she called "ugly juice" to prepare for her role in the film "Precious".  To survive her acting, audience members will hopefully be given free "amnesia juice" when they leave the theater!  

A man enraged by a noisy family sitting near him in a movie theatre shot the father of the family in the arm, police said. James Joseph Cialella of Philadelphia faces six charges that include attempted murder and aggravated assault. Upon hearing this, United Artist Theaters has announced a new policy. Customers are encouraged to bring firearms to the movie theater and shoot the first person that answers their cell phone during the movie.

Rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty in Manhattan court today to a gun charge.

Last year, following a performance at the Beacon Theater in NYC, cops raided Lil Wayne’s tour bus on the suspicion that he was in the possession of marijuana. But what they found was a bit more serious than a little weed.

When the NYPD approached the bus, Lil Wayne allegedly tossed a Louis Vuitton bag with a gun inside, which got him charged with attempted weapon possession.

Authorities reportedly tied the gun to Lil Wayne using “a debated, highly sensitive DNA profiling technique”:

He’s black… He’s a rapper… He’s guilty! 

"Whip It" is a movie about the sexual escapades of David Letterman.

Moore's new documentary  is called "Capitalism: A Love Story."   Moore's next movie will be called "Cheesecake:  A Love Story."

Thousands of Michael Jackson fans gathered at Harlem's Apollo Theater to celebrate his life and music.

It's weird that they are honoring him at the Apollo considering he wasn't really black anymore.

"Drag Me to Hell" is about a young woman who is abducted from her Baltimore home and taken to New Jersey.
