Not long ago, Joe Biden told this guy in a wheelchair to stand up and take a bow.

   Understandably, Biden withstood a torrent of jeers and criticism for the obvious gaff.

   Some rock-ribbed Republicans went so far as to characterize Mr. Biden's behavior as "sheer cruelty."

   A few diehard Democrats posited that the Vice President--being a believing Christian--may simply have been trying to heal the man.

   Both these groups were kidding--I think.

Philadelphia Phillie Jimmy Rollins still maintains that his team is better than the Yankees, moments following their Game Six loss to their World Series opponent last night.

The only other notable thing said by Rollins during the press conference was, "Yes, I do vote Republican. Why do you ask?" 

Republicans boycotted a Senate committee hearing today on a major bill to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.

I guess you could say they gave it the cold shoulder. 

Obama called down the republicans last week telling them to just sit down and shut up....the republicans looked at each other puzzled because they thought they did that before the election!......

While her husband Vince might find himself on the receiving end of “The People’s Elbow” if he were to run for public office, former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon is being treated like a serious candidate after announcing that she will step into the ring and run for the Connecticut Senate seat presently held by Democrat Christopher Dodd. McMahon is being promoted as a self-funded fiscal conservative but socially left-leaning outsider with a vicious Pile Driver and a callous Cactus Clothesline.

Needless to say, the announcement gave myself, as well as McMahon's fellow Republican challengers, a chance to make corny jokes about whether she was "a heavyweight or a welterweight," but the fact remains she has proven herself a worthy adversary. Her history of savage steel cage matches and uncanny aerial abilities when leaping headfirst from the top turnbuckle only serve to confirm speculation that she will prove a fearless and formidable opponent.

As the public weighs in on McMahon’s candidacy, one political expert went so far as to say she "could improve the image of the party" in the state… because, as we all know, nothing spruces up a party’s image like knee-high boots, form-fitting spandex and a mask.

 President Obama called Kanye West a "Jackass" for outbursting at the MTV Music Awards show. Republican Congress man Joe Wilson grabbed the mic and said, "You lie! Serena Williams has the best outburst of the year!"

Less than a day after Rep. Joe Wilson formally apologized to President Obama over his "you lie" outburst, the South Carolina Republican has raised "more than $200,000".

Now we only need about 449 thousand more outbursts and this 90 billion dollar health care plan is paid for.

In a joint speech to Congress, President Obama called to both parties to help fix the nation's ailing health care system. President Obama asked both Democrats and Republicans to submit proposals that address the health care problems in America.    The opposing Republican’s suggested creating a panel to determine whether this bill should live or die.
