The mayor of Rio said the city has a long way to go to make the city safe for the Olympics. In other words, it's like Chicago, but with the Olympics.

The Americans won golf's Presidents Cup. Which is totally as good as getting the Olympics.
 

Despite protests that golf is an elitist and sexist sport, golf will return as an Olympic sport in 2016. To fend off criticism, Golf officials agreed to allow women in the clubhouse during the Olympics to serve drinks.

...Olympic officials said Chicago lost its chance to host the 2016 Olympics after Obama promised that if Chicago was chosen, he would add "drive-bys" as an Olympic event.  

Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting for the 2016 Olympic Games. But thanks to the Cubs, the city can cope with disappointment.

Chicago is now out of the running for the 2016 Olympics and Rio De Janeiro is in. What's the problem, not enough gun violence in Chicago? 

...Rod Blagojevich has said that if Chicago is awarded the 2016 Olympics, that he wants to help out.  Blagojevich said he is willing to volunteer his time to help properly run it right into the ground.
