In related news, MySpace has installed a 'panic button' to protect women against Mel Gibson. 

The social network site Facebook has proposed charging $14.95 a month to its members in an effort to become a premium service paysite, which may lead competitor MySpace, owned by FOX and Rupert Murdoch, to follow suit.  So far, over 400,000 members (myself included) have petitioned Facebook to stop this charade.  Otherwise, I have a new name the company can adopt:
