New Jersey governor Corzine has lost in his re-election bid, despite spending millions.  Just goes to show;  in our great nation, money can't buy elections!!  (NOTE:  This does not apply to the New York City mayoral election.)

...after widespread corruption and voter fraud were found in Afghanistan's recent presidential election, the United States has sent over a delegation from the Florida Board of Elections to do another recount and certify a winner.  The challenger Abdullah Abdullah has quit the race in protest.  The recount was completed, and George Bush has been declared the winner.  

...an Oregon mayoral election went to a runoff after neither Warren Nate nor Charles Lever emerged with a majority of the votes. In the runoff,  neither candidate got the required 50% of the vote, so the city council chose the next mayor. By a 6-3 margin, Warren Nate was chosen mayor.  Outgoing mayor Ronald Vorhees was pleased with the selection, saying "Better Nate than Lever."

...amid reports of corruption and voter fraud, the UN has sent a delegation to Kabul to verify the Afghanistan elections results.  The UN council found no evidence of tampering or voter fraud and have certified Hamid Karzai as the winner with approximately 115% of the vote. 

Iran's supreme leader says there was "definitive victory" and no rigging in the disputed presidential elections.  I didn't realize that our heads of state had such similiar lofty titles.   Iran's top dog is "supreme leader" and ours is "supreme being."

Today i learned what the difference was between  Jews and Muslims . Jews buy the elections as did  New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg .  Muslims simply steal them as Iran's President Ahmadinejad has .

[A]n exit poll of voters showed single women were a decisive factor in Barack Obama's historic victory...Tuesday night, unmarried women supported the Democratic candidate by a stunning 70 to 29 percent margin...

Similarly, unmarried women supported Democratic House candidates by a 64 to 29 percent margin....the research was commissioned by a "progressive" advocacy group called Women's Voices. Women Vote.

On its website, the women's group said, "Unmarried Americans are the fastest-growing large demographic in the country and a majority of Americans will live with an unmarried head of household. But despite their numbers, unmarried Americans are under-represented in national elections and their voices are not being heard in our democracy. Women's Voices Women Vote was created to activate unmarried Americans in their government and in our democracy."

Call it the 'Ho Constituency. Or the 'Ho Bloc.
