Former child star Gary Coleman has died after suffering a intracranial hemorrhage on Wednesday and being put on life support. He was 42.  Coleman is best known for his role as "Arnold" on the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes, which aired from 1978 to 1986.  Later in life he suffered problems with the law and drug abuse.  In 2008 he was in an auto accident where he backed over a pedestrian, and he was arrested in 2010 for alleged domestic violence. ***MARLAR: Gary Coleman was arrested for domestic violence?  Who gets beat up by Gary Coleman?  Wouldn’t you just have to put your hand to his forehead to keep him from landing a punch?  And regarding his death, is anyone investigating “The Gooch?”

Iowa City police arrested a woman who allegedly attacked her sister with the lid of a toilet tank. Nitasha Johnson, of Iowa City, was arrested early Sunday and was charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury and interference with official acts. According to police, Johnson removed the lid and hit her sister during a fight.  ***MARLAR: They were fighting over some guy named John.

An Appleton, Wisconsin woman who tried to extort money from The Seasons restaurant by putting a rat in her lunch has entered no-contest pleas to two criminal charges. Debbie R. Miller planted the rat at The Seasons on April 17, 2008, and then demanded $500,000 from the owners. She threatened to alert the media, but instead of paying, the owners turned the rat over to investigators for their insurance company. They determined it was a domestic rat that had been cooked in a microwave, and the restaurant doesn't use microwaves.  ***MARLAR: Which is too bad because micro-rat is very tasty. 

US Customs caught a man at LAX smuggling in 15 exotic birds all stuffed down his pants.

Actually, only 14 of them turned out to be exotic birds; the 15th turned out to be a domestic dicky bird. 

Hanes is ending its advertising campaign featuring Charlie Sheen because of domestic violence charges filed against the actor.  Here's an idea:  Why not drop the Hanes sponsorship deal with the guy who put the bomb in his underwear?

Hanes has suspended Charlie Sheen as spokesman following his arrest on domestic violence charges.  Sheen will instead become the new spokesman for Fruit-of-the-Loon.
