 President Obama called Kanye West a "Jackass" for outbursting at the MTV Music Awards show. Republican Congress man Joe Wilson grabbed the mic and said, "You lie! Serena Williams has the best outburst of the year!"

Kanye West did something obnoxious at an awards show and everybody was shocked that he could behave in such a manner. Probably the only big difference between this and previous such displays is that some celebrities were now able to tweet their disapproval almost immediately.

I’m a little surprised that a music video award ceremony hosted by a cable network that barely runs music videos anymore is taken THIS seriously…by ANYBODY. So Kanye acted like a dick – big shock! Next time, act like a dick while wearing just a diaper – make some REAL news, for Chrissake…

I just re-watched that Kanye clip. Seriously, he is a complete piece of shit. I wish Beyonce had gone on stage, told him that Ray Ellin said that, and then congratulated Taylor Swift. I hope Al Sharpton comes out and speaks on Taylor's behalf.

At the Teen Choice Awards, singer Miley Cyrus pole danced in tribute to, as she puts it, "my trailer-park roots."

At first, the dance was well-received until the "trailer-park" crowd grew angry, thinking Miley Cyrus was courting the pole into gay marriage.
