Did you hear about the lady auctioning off the crypt directly above Marilyn Monroe? There's a rumor that a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts has already purchased it.. If this is true, he'll become the second Kennedy to end up on top of Marilyn...in case anyone's keeping track...

Where once you could find a Woolworth's on every other street corner, in its place you now have Starbucks. Where once you could get a grilled cheese, stockings, a 1-lb. sack of Tootsie Rolls, school supplies, underwear, a Transformers action figure and a pet goldfish, you can now get overpriced coffee and overpriced coffee accessories. 

We sure do like getting screwed in this country, don't we?

 In memory of Ted Kennedy, a bridge in Martha's Vineyard will be named after him.

Ramadan, the holy month of Islam, began Saturday with Iraqis hoping for tranquility but fearful after recent attacks cutting off food supplies.

Looks like it will be a long month of eating Top Ramadan.

Senator Majority leader Harry Reid was asked if he felt there was an urgency to pass the Senate's proposed health care reform bill.  To which Reid replied, "Like my friend Ted Kennedy would have said, we'll drive off that bridge when we come to it." 

KFC today announced their new sandwich, the Double Down.  It has bacon, melted swiss and pepperjack cheeses and the colonel's sauce, nestled snugly between two fried chicken patties instead of bread.

Finally, they've figured out a way to eliminate those sesame seeds.

I think the name "Double Down" is appropriate too.  Eating one of these is clearly a gamble - not just on your life but whether or not you'll make it to the toilet in time.

...Senator Ted Kennedy has died at age 77.  President Obama will honor Kennedy's legacy by appointing his successor from a list pre-approved by Kennedy.  Candidates include Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, and Harvey Wallbanger.
